Starting as a virtual event, the premiere during the pandemic, Fear Expo was held in person trade show events since twenty twenty two. In twenty twenty three, Fear Expo added Hontkon to their event lineup. The Haunt seeks to raise twenty thousand dollars to assist with moving in storage expenses as they hope to rebuild in a new location at some point in the future. Goouhle Brothers is a nearly sixteen thousand square foot attraction that hires seventy plus people seasonally and supports local small businesses and artists. The City of Denton, Texas, saw a drastic increase in local business sales and tourism after launching their first ever thirty one Days of Denton Helloween, a month long collection of spooky events supported by local businesses and city officials. The initiative aim to turn Denton into the state's premier Halloween destination by involving as many downtown businesses as possible and offering a variety of advents that cater to different ages and interests. The current consensus among city officials and local businesses is that this was a success.

5:14 We saw around one hundred and forty five thousand more people that visited our downtown this October compared to last year, said Dustin Sternbeck, the city's chief spokesperson. He added that sixty percent of those visitors were not Denton residents, and that Denton Halloween merchandise sales grossed more than forty three thousand dollars. I don't want to tease the ideas yet, Sternbeck said, but we've already started brainstorming for what twenty twenty five has in store. In international haunt and event news, after canceling Halloween's celebrations, Tokyo Shibura neighborhood is announced they will not hold New Year's Eve celebration as well. A spokesperson for the area mentioned that in addition to ensure public safety due to the increased amount of visitors and foreign tourists, our recent ban of public drinking has also influenced the decision. As we are currently in the process of trying to reduce public consumption of alcohol, we have arrived at the judgment that this is not an appropriate time to beholding an event at which a large number of people will gather.

7:23 Officials have not yet announced that either the Helloween or New Year's Eve celebrations will return for twenty twenty five.
